2020 Holiday Collection
Our 2020 holiday collection highlights 5 completely new designs celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.
Each design is struck in one ounce of .999 fine silver and placed in a protective capsule.
The first design shows a highly detailed Christmas wreath featuring balsam, holly clusters, ornaments, and a giant poinsettia right at the bottom center. This looks so real that you can almost smell the aroma of pine in the air. The sentiment “Merry Christmas” is shown in the center of the wreath.
The second design is a staple of Christmas decorations around the world – ornaments! Our ornaments hang whimsically from the words Merry Christmas around the top of the coin. Each one is etched with a delicate design – a crisp snowflake, joyous swirls, concentric circles or a textured grid pattern.
Our third design celebrates Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights. This festival is dedicated to reclaiming the Holy Temple in Jerusalem in the second century and the subsequent miracle. A single pot of olive oil, a one-day supply, lasted for eight days! Long enough to prepare a ritually pure supply. Our round showcases this tradition with a beautifully designed menorah featuring a Star of David in the center and
candles branching out on each side. A simple and yet meaningful design.
The fourth design showcases Kwanzaa, a seven-day celebration of African-American culture held in late December. Kwanzaa was created in 1966 by Dr. Karenga as a way to bring African Americans together as a community. Each day a candle is lit and one of seven principles is discussed including unity, self- determination, purpose, and creativity. Our round shows a candelabra and seven lit candles with the words KWANZAA and Habari Gani (Swahili for “how are you?”) across the top.
The fifth design shows a cheerful snowman in the forest gliding serenely along while snow gently falls. The words Let It Snow cross the top.
The back design is the same for all five rounds. It features an image of wings with a shield in the center of them and a flag flying above. A ribbon under the wings says USA (where all our coins are made), while a cityscape circles underneath. .999 Fine Silver grace the top, with One Troy Ounce at the bottom – denoting the purity and weight. The O/M mint mark is shown as your mark of quality.
